Fixing the Rare: Breeder A is a hybrid film following the struggles of a fictional breeder devoted to the pursuit of the ultimate goldfish. Inspired by interviews and diaries of real breeders, the film captures the obsession of a man pressing forward—suspended between preservation and metamorphosis—toward his elusive ideal. Through his experimental quest, the audience indirectly witnesses life being born, selected, refined, and extinguished. Interweaving AI-generated goldfish produced through LoRA-trained diffusion models with live-action footage shot inside fish tanks, the film explores the logic of aesthetic desire that underlies both biological breeding and algorithmic generation.

희귀함 고정: 브리더 A는 궁극의 금붕어를 추구하는 가상의 브리더를 따라가는 하이브리드 필름이다. 실제 브리더들의 인터뷰와 일기에서 영감을 받아, 보존과 변형 사이에서 자신의 덧없는 이상을 향해 나아가는 한 남자의 집착을 담아낸다. 그의 실험적인 탐구를 통해 관객은 생명이 태어나고, 선택되고, 정제되고, 소멸되는 과정을 간접적으로 목격한다. LoRA로 학습된 디퓨전 모델로 생성된 AI 금붕어 이미지와 어항 안에서 촬영된 실사 영상을 교차시키며, 생물학적 브리딩과 알고리즘적 생성 모두에 내재된 미적 욕망의 논리를 탐구한다.
