AN OLD WOMAN HAS ENTERED THE EXHIBITION ROOM | 2018

VR, video installation, with Naiyun Yang

This work is a VR exhibition centered around a fictional middle-aged woman, exploring her past and the complexities of her inner world. Visitors are invited to a 3D exhibition space, where they can enter her memories through VR.

The exhibition is divided into five rooms, each presenting different facets and emotions of her character. In each room, visitors experience unique visual and emotional scenarios, witnessing scenes such as her gray hair being pulled out, her lying down and mumbling, and moments of collapse, which reveal the depth of her complex emotions.

The work delves into the layered structure of personal memory and emotion, offering visitors an opportunity to reflect on the weight of time in their own lives.
